Thursday

summer reading

First of all, shoutout to Ellen Sliva.

Second, I'm trying to decide what to read for my summer reading books. My requiremts are to read The Lord of the Flies, one book from the Classic Lit, one from World Lit OR Multi-Cultural Lit, and one on my choice from any list. There are 19 lists to choose from.
I am still deciding on my required picks...
My free choice book will probs be Death on the Nile or The Memory Keeper's Daughter. Both Nancy and Ellie read Death on the Nile and said it was good, and Nancy loved Memory Keeper's Daughter.
Ugh it's a tough decision, you don't want to waste your summer on reading books you're not interested in, so I want to pick good ones on the first try.

An another note, in World Cultures today we had a guest speaker. It was Mrs. NG's daughter who had just completed a semester at sea. I would LOVE to do that when I'm on college because so far in my life I have never left the continent. There are so many places to see!!! Katie is interested too, and you never know. One day maybe we will go together!

10 days...

Tuesday

12 days....

Ahhh only 12 days left!! I can't wait, but I'm sad web design will be ending :[. Today I don't have much homework, so the majority of my time after school time can be spent watching Castle, Idol, Gilmore Girls, and Greys. YES.
Ellie is doing a fabulous job on our website project! She picked the colors and did the layout while Nancy and I researched. Check it out soon!!

Monday

weekend/today

Such a great weekend! Friday I hung out with some friends and we had a lot of fun :]. Saturday I did abseloutley nothing. It felt sooooooo good! Sunday was Mothers Day! We went to my grandparents house for a family dinner, and for her present we gave my mom some earings she wanted from ylang 23!
This weekend my mom is going to visit her friend Kaira in Malibu!!!!! I'm so jealous I wish I could go with her!

COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER: 13 DAYS

Thursday

today in school

Once again...a Latin test. I strongly dislike Latin because it does NOT come easily to me, like it does to most of my class. We have a test tomorrow, and I don't really know how I feel about it. Aside from the pronouns, I feel pretty confident, but lukewarm all the same.
I also have a math test tomorrow. I really like math and have done really well this year, but this is a pretty involved chapter which makes me nervous.
I also have an English quiz, but that won't be bad at all. 10 minutes to study, tops.
In English we have been reading Catcher in the Rye. I actually like it, aside from Holden's sinisism and swearing in it.
In world cultures we are studying the West Indies, along with Central and Southern America. It's pretty gruesome, because we have been watching this extremely violent movie called End of the Spear.

Wednesday

news....

Tonight I barely have any homework. I just have to read Catcher in the Rye, do math homework, study for an upcoming Latin test, and study for a World Cultures quiz. Yay! This leaves my plenty of time to watch my wednesday night shows!
Last night, my family and I were discussing the oil spill and how it may effect our trip to Rosemary Beach. It most likely won't, but if we cancel it, we (meaning I) came up with our top alternative trips: Switzerland, Italy, Hawaii, or Spain. I love Rosemary Beach, but I almost, almost hope we don't go this year...
The other day at lunch, my friends and I were discussing our celebrity twins. We decided Emily Fitz was identical to Lexie Grey from Greys, and I was voted to be Amanda Seyfried. I'm pretty sure that's a good thing...

Tuesday

favorites

Copying Nancy, I am going to blog about my favorites.

books- The Firm, The Bourne series, 19 Minutes

movies- Notting Hill, 27 dresses, father of the bride

music- Eli Young Band, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band, T Swift, Carrie Underwood

tv shows- Castle, Gilmore Girls, Greys Anatomy, Modern Family, the Middle

hmm cant think of much else...

end of the year

Today is Tuesday. Only 3 MORE MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS YAY!!!!!! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! It still feels like October to me. I'm going to miss seeing everyone everyday when summers here! And, sadly, my blog posts will be discontinued :(.

On the upside, next year my friends (including ellen) might be taking web design, so everyone can read their blogs!!

Monday

Weekend

My weekend was pretty quiet. Saturday my mom and I shopped in Snider Plaza, then got our nails done. This was pretty cool, though, because we went to get jeans hemmed at Lien's on Lovers by HPHS, and the metal awning on a few of the buildings next door had collapsed! No one was hurt, but to be safe they had at least 5 fire trucks, 1 ambulance, UP, HP, and Dallas police, and we saw news helicopters hovering above. It was crazy!!!
The Kentucky Derby was so fun to watch! My mom had picked Super Saver beccause she liked the name, and he won! My favorite name was Mission Impazible!

Friday

blog war

Nancy and I are in a blog post WAR! But I will win!
Ellen Sliva promised me a chocolate cake, and there isn't one. She PROMISED and didn't come through. This is unacceptable.

Weekend

Hey all
So far, I'm not doing as much as usual this weekend. FINALLY I HAVE NO COMMUNITY SERVICE!!!! Tonight I get to hang with my friend Amelia! I haven't seen her in forever, and she has just started a new charity!! I'm so excited for her! It's called Unite the World to Jump, and the tshirts just came in. All profits for her future fundraisers will go to an orphanage in Zambia. Tomorrow there's the last school dance (Blackout B10wout) of the year, but it's my parents anniversary so I can't go :(. But at least I'll have twenty more to go to the rest of high school. Anyways, everyone is supposed to wear black which would have been really fun. Sunday I get to work on my Latin project (which I haven't started on...), but it won't be too difficult. Welll thats all I got for now.
